Wavemaster Shock Mitigation Seats

The Wavemaster adaptive suspension jockey seat is designed and hand built in the UK as either an aftermarket upgrade or as an option on new build RIBs and other high speed craft.

Suitable for commercial use, such as search and rescue, energy support, military and others - as well as leisure use -  the Wavemaster shock mitigation seat is designed to be ‘fit for purpose’ with user comfort in mind – in the standing position as well as seated - and the heavy duty built-in impact reduction mechanism dramatically reduces fatigue, which makes commercial/rescue use much safer - and leisure use more enjoyable. And as there’s not much room to spare on most boats, the Wavemaster seat is a practical size too - big enough to be user friendly but not so bulky as to make things even more cramped on board.

The oversized gas cell shock absorber utilises a dual spring configuration and is mounted in a near vertical position which ensures maximum shock absorption at the lowest internal gas pressure & spring tension - and also eliminates the leverage effect exerted on a shock absorber that is mounted at a greater angle.

The low angle and the forward facing mechanism interact with the load direction when hitting an oncoming wave that jolts the user forwards and downwards. The forward angle of the mechanism absorbs the forward force as well as the downward force and co-acts with your body’s natural design which enhances your protection and stability.
